It is assumed that they were infected at an international dog show in Šempeter on November 8th and 9th, which was attended by dog owners from 27 countries.

The measles virus has not been found in Slovenia for a long time, which is why the Institute believes that the illness was brought to Slovenia by someone from abroad.
