The parliamentary committee gave green light to Metod Dragonja as candidate for new Economy Minister. Ten members of the committee voted in his favour, four were against the nomination.

Dragonja stressed at the hearing that he to strive for a responsible economy by creating added value and also jobs for the sustainable growth of Slovenia.

If confirmed by the parliament this will already serve his Dragonjas office as economy minister as the Ex-CEO of pharmacy company Lek already served as economy minister from 1997 to 1999.
