The vote 422:338 has shaken the coalition. Party head Jani Möderndorfer said there was a ‘’plan B’’ in store, but provided no further explanations.

Members of the coalition Citizens List (DL) believe that early elections are inevitable. The party expects an agreement to be reached, as soon as possible.

Ahead of the congress, PM Alenka Bratušek said that she would resign if ousted as the party leader. But after the defeat, she said that she would announce her future plans on Tuesday.

According to PS MP, Peter Vilfan, the PM will take a few days off to think about her next steps. Meanwhile, he denied the party having a ‘’plan B’’, as announced by Möderndorfer.
