This year’s festival will see a record 146 films. The competition program will include 14 feature films, five medium-length films and more than 10 short films. Special emphasis will be put on short films, as they practically “saved” last year’s festival due to the low number of full-length films. Short films will be shown in three programs and before the feature films. Organizers inform that due to the large number of films this year’s festival will be one day longer.

A jury made up of Simon Pintar, Polona Petek, Varja Močnik, Siniša Gačić and Gregor Božič will decide to whom the 12 Vesna Awards and eight other festival prizes go to. The awards will be given out on Saturday, when six other prizes from the sponsors will also be given out, including the Stop Magazine Award for actress or actor of the year.

Award for lifetime achievement to Dunja Klemenc
The Metod Badjura Award for lifetime achievement in the field of film art will be given to producer Dunja Klemenc on the opening day of the festival. Among other films she was also a part of "No Man’s Land" by Danis Tanović, which won an Oscar award for best foreign language film. In her honour organizers have prepared an exhibition presenting documentary photographs from the recipient’s personal archive, the archives of the Slovenian Cinematheque, Slovenian Film Centre and other sources and film posters.
