This year they are hoping for a new womens record below 2 hours and 22 minutes.

The 10 km run already gained two new track records – in the men’s category Jan Kokalj finished in 30 minutes and 52 seconds and in the women’s category Klara Lukan finished in 33 minutes and 22 seconds.

At the 3 runs – the 10, 21, and 42 km – 13.820 runners are participating.

The Ljubljana marathon was also granted with the golden label of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) and is counted among the 100 best marathons in the world.
