The 27th annual meeting of Slovenian expatriates will be held in Ljubljana today in line with the 30th anniversary of Slovenia's independence. The celebration will host current prime Minister Janez Janša and the prime minister of the first Slovenian government Lojze Peterle as keynote speakers. The meeting is organized every year by the SVS association of Slovenian expatriates. This year it will be held under the slogan “Slovenians 30 Years Ago and Today”. At the same time, an anniversary exhibition will be opened, which will display works of art by Slovenian painters living abroad.
