The 6th annual MENT Festival of contemporary alternative music will get underway in Ljubljana today.

Over the course of 3 days, some 80 artists will perform on 14 stages across the capital. The festival will kick off with a concert by Kamaal Williams, a project by South Londoner Henry Wu, who is one of the key artists responsible for the revival of the British jazz scene.

The festival will be accompanied by the MENT conference. It will feature presentations of the music scene in the former Yugoslavia and debates on ways of making it in the music industry in the era of streaming.
