Approximately 85% of administrative unit employees, totaling nearly 2,340 clerks, are participating in the strike, marking the second such action since November.

The Trade Union of State Bodies demands that the lowest paid staff get more than minimum wage, while experts with tertiary education should get paid on a par with staff at ministries.

The government meanwhile insists on tackling the challenges as part of general talks on a public sector pay reform.

26 units, including the biggest cities of Ljubljana and Maribor, will be on strike for three days, while the remaining 15 will strike only today.
