73% of Slovenians connect extreme weather phenomena to climate change.
In recent years Slovenia has been hit a series of floods and storms causing damage to homes, infrastructure, and agriculture. Most notable were the massive floods in August.
Meanwhile, almost 20% of the respondents believe that such weather is not connected to climate change and had also occurred in the past.
The survey was conducted by the Public Opinion and Mass Communication Research Centre at Ljubljana's Faculty of Social Sciences from November to February on a sample of just over 1,000 adults.
