The Health Insurance Institute is calling for an end to mandatory isolation for those infected with Covid-19. The costs of employee sick leaves has risen by more than a half compared to two years ago and the institute says the trend is not sustainable.
Meanwhile infectologist Mateja Logar says isolation is still necessary to prevent the further spread of the virus, emphasizing the risk of long covid.
So far only Austria and Norway have ended mandatory isolations for those infected with Covid-19.
