The five left-leaning opposition parties; Marjan Šarec List, Social Democrats, Left, Alenka Bratušek Party and DeSUS, have retabled a motion of no confidence in the Janez Janša government.

The previous motion was withdrawn less than a month ago as it was not certain whether all of the 90 MPs could participate in the secret ballot due to the epidemiological concerns at the time.

Karl Erjavec, the president of the Pensioners' Party (DeSUS), who is the informal Constitutional Arch Coalition's candidate for prime-minister designate, said this time around, he would not withdraw his consent to the motion of no confidence.

To unseat the Janez Janša government, the informal coalition needs a 46-vote majority in a secret ballot.
