Nine people have been charged and accused of illegally dumping sewage sludge around Slovenia. If found guilty they’re facing up to eight years in prison.
The group is accused of dumping waste near Dramlje, Šentjur, Jerčin, Spodnje Grušovje.
The sludge came from two waste water treatment plants in the east. The dumped sewage caused tremendous damage, to the point that it was declared a health hazard.
