The woman whose hand was sawn off, her partner, and his parents all pleaded guilty. The Ljubljana District Court found the defendants guilty and sentenced the woman to one year and seven months in prison and her partner to two years and five months. The partner's mother received a suspended sentence of one year and six months. His father was given a suspended sentence of one year, with a probationary period of three years.

The group has already served most of their sentences in custody.
