The European Affairs committee discussed yesterday the draft for the national recovery and resilience plan. Slovenia has to send the plan to Brussels in order to be eligible to receive 5.2 billion euros in post-pandemic EU funds. The debate was not available to the public but according to currently available information, the national plan will feature nine development priorities like education, social care, health care, long-term care, tourism and culture, sustainable and green transition, digital Slovenia, and a supportive environment for companies. But critics have pointed out that areas that are currently most critical due to the pandemic are missing including public health, the elderly, and climate change.
