A large fire broke out at a waste facility in Ljubljana last night, affecting 8,000 square metres.

Tyres and other highly flammable material were involved.

Around 240 firefighters worked until 2.30 a.m. to extinguish the blaze.

A warning to locals to avoid toxic smoke was lifted at 11 a.m.
