Today’s analyses have shown that the fire that broke out at Fragmat, a thermal insulation panel maker near the town of Cerknica on Thursday has not caused air pollution. The Environment Ministry said that data on air quality collected today near a primary school are comparable to those collected elsewhere in the country. As the fire broke out dense smoke and soot went up to 7km in the air worrying many that this could lead to an ecological disaster. In the aftermath of the fire, many firefighters and locals complained of sore throats and headaches, but no other serious side effects were reported.
