The biggest Slovenian cycling recreational event The Franja Marathon kicks off today in Ljubljana. Start of both the short and long race are in the BTC Shopping district.
The events started on Friday and are finishing today with the long race of 156 kilometres.
The first marathon was organised 1982 with 700 participants.
Since then, it has been held 37 times, attracting more than 150,000 participants from over 70 countries altogether.
This year the whole event attracted more than 7,000 participants.
