The government is trying to increase the number of airlines flying to Slovenia. A draft law would provide nearly 17 millions euros in state aid over three years to help improve connectivity.
The priority list includes ten destinations: Vienna, Brussels, Copenhagen, Athens, Madrid, Amsterdam, Helsinki, Prague, Berlin and Skopje.
The idea is to subsidize 50% of airport fees for airlines that fly to the desired destinations.
If any funds are left, the list would be expanded.
