They reverse part of the reform adopted under the previous government by scraping the increase in the general tax relief for top earners, raising for them the tax to 50% again. The tax on rent income is also increasing and a special tax relief is being implemented for people under the age of 30. The new EU legislation also brought on changes affecting the agricultural sector. The changes were vetoed by the National Council after being passed in the National Assembly in November. But the veto was overridden in a repeat vote in the lower chamber in December.
