Interior Minister Boštjan Poklukar started a two-day official visit to North Macedonia today. He will meet his counterpart Oliver Spasovski and visit Slovenian police officers working at the country's southern border as part of Frontex.
The European Border and Coast Guard Agency has been helping Macedonian police patrol the EU's external border since last month, with Slovenia contributing five police officers. Slovenia has also provided nearly EUR 40 million in aid to North Macedonia and supports its bid to become an EU member by 2030.

Slovenian tennis player Tamara Zidanšek plays in the 1st round of the French Open this afternoon. The 26-year old reached the semi-finals in 2021, becoming the first Slovenian to do so since independence in 1991.
