The first Eurovision semifinal took place last night, with ten countries moving on to the final. Slovenia was not among them. The Slovenian band LPS will be returning home. The Croatian entry also failed to qualify last night.
Ukraine's Kalush Orchestra made it through, and are strong favorites to win the competition.
This year the Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Italy. The last time Italy hosted it was back in 1991.
