Slovenian cyclist Matej Mohorič won today's 7th stage of the Tour de France. The 249 km stage from Verzon to Le Creusot was also the longest since the year 2000.

He finished 1 minute and 20 seconds ahead of Jasper Stuyven of Belgium.

It wasn't such a good day for last year's runner up, Primož Roglič.

He finished 9 minutes behind Mohorič and drops to 33rd in the overall standings.

Mohorič has moved up to 4th on the GC (General Classification) with Tadej Pogačar just behind him in 5th place.
