President Borut Pahor addressed Slovenia's soldiers today serving in missions abroad via video link. Accompanied by Defence Minister Marjan Šarec, Pahor said this was the first time the videoconference was being held amid an ongoing war in Europe. He said Russia's aggression in Ukraine confirmed the need for a highly trained army. Currently, around 300 Slovenian troops are serving in international operations and missions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Serbia, Mali, Lebanon, Syria, Italy, Iraq, Latvia and Slovakia.
