Outgoing President Borut Pahor made his last farewell visit to Rome today. He was hosted by Italy's President Sergio Mattarella. The two hailed the bridge-building moments between the two countries during their presidencies, including the return of Trieste's National Hall to the Slovenian minority, and the joint honourings of the Slovenian victims of Fascism and the Italian victims of post-war killings. Pahor is scheduled to leave his office at the end of December. His trip to Rome is part of a final round of talks with neighbouring presidents.
