Ptuj is gearing up for the annual days of Wine and Poetry this week. This year the festival will also move to 18 other places in Slovenia and beyond.
The festival will feature 20 established poets from across the globe
Poets from Serbia and China will be attending although this year Germany is the country in focus.
A total of 60 events will be held, including poetry readings, poetry duels, workshops for children, concerts, and more.
Most of the events will be in Slovenian and English and all except for one are free.
A new cycling route linking the town of Žalec and the city of Celje will be completed by the end of June, according to the Municipality of Žalec.
