Slovenia is going into lockdown again.
The government announced there will be an 11-day lockdown from April 1 to April 12.
This comes after an increase in the infection rate and worries that the hospitals would be unable to cope with the influx. Health Minister Janez Poklukar thanked people for their patience and understanding in these difficult times.
Non-essential shops and services are being shutdown. Schools will switch to remote classes.
The government is also tightening border restrictions starting tomorrow.
Face masks will also be made obligatory again outdoors.
