Slovenia is limiting SARS-CoV-2 testing.
Limited testing has been advised by the govt Covid-19 task force. Testing is being limited to vulnerable groups, those who are expected to fall seriously ill, to care home and hospital workers, to those who live with individuals from vulnerable groups and to those exposed to many contacts at work, such as in factories.
According to Mateja Logar of the Clinic for Infectious Diseases at the UKC Ljubljana the number of tests did not have a special impact on the epidemic, but she still warned people to be vigilant of the disease symptoms.
The current number of tests carried out daily exceeded the capacity of Slovenian laboratories.
