The Slovenian national football team lost a qualifier for the 2022 FIFA World Cup against Russia 1:2 in Sochi today.
The match was held in front of an audience of over 13,000 people.
Artem Dzyuba scored the first goal for Russia 20 minutes into the first half. He scored a second goal 15 minutes later and a minute later Slovenia got its first goal by Josip Iličić.
This was Slovenia's second qualifier, after the team defeated Croatia 1:0 in Ljubljana on Wednesday.
On Tuesday the national team will face Cyprus.
