Slovenia is one of the safest countries in the world when it comes to murder rates.
Slovenia remains to be one of the safest countries in the world. According to a UN ranking Slovenia has one of the lowest murder rates in the world. It had a total of 32 murders or attempted murders last year, ranking it 8th in the world for the fewest number of such cases.
American and African countries are at the top of the list in terms of the number of murders, followed by Asian countries. Europe accounts for less than 5% of the total murders in the world.
A charity cycle took place in Ljubljana today. It was organised by Slovenian Karitas in association with the Polish and Ukrainian embassies.
Slovenian tennis player Tamara Zidanšek plays in the 1st round of the French Open this afternoon. The 26-year old reached the semi-finals in 2021, becoming the first Slovenian to do so since independence in 1991.
