Slovenian diplomats are holding an annual meeting at Brdo pri Kranju today. The talks began with an address by Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon. President Nataša Pirc Musar is also taking part today. Prime Minister Robert Golob will attend tomorrow.
The main topic will be Slovenia's upcoming 2-year term as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, which begins on the 1st of January.
The other non-permanent members are Algeria, Sierra Leone, Mozambique, South Korea, Japan, Guyana, Ecuador, Malta and Switzerland.
Slovenia will host the presidency of the council for the month of September next year.
A new cycling route linking the town of Žalec and the city of Celje will be completed by the end of June, according to the Municipality of Žalec.
