Slovenian soldiers stationed in northern Iraq were supposed to be evacuated by yesterday evening but they remain on the ground.
They should have been pulled out together with the German contingent who are part of the same operation and arrive in Slovenia today.
But the German soldiers have decided to stay on Iraqi soil due to conditions calming down.
The temporary evacuation of soldiers from Iraq was first announced after Iran's attack in retaliation for the US killing of Iranian general Qassem Soleimani.
