The traditional blessing of motorcycles and motorcyclists took place in Mirna Peč today.
The annual blessing marks the start of the motorcycle season. Around 10,000 motorcyclists showed up for the event, including Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar. Traffic safety was the number one message for all those present, and President Pirc Musar called on all motorcyclists to wear helmets. The police said the number one reason for motorcycle accidents is speeding.
