In the future, Ljubljana's Union beer will be brewed in Laško.
The country's largest brewery Pivovarna Laško Union will no longer make beer in Ljubljana, due to an outdated cooling system at the facility. The management has decided to move the production to Laško, based on a security assessment of the 35-year-old cooling system.
It is not clear yet how this will affect staff in Ljubljana. The packaging and logistics activities will remain in Ljubljana, as well as the production of non-alcoholic beverages.
