An organ from the world known Tonhalle concert hall in Zurich will find a new home at the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Koper. Tonhalle decommissioned the organ after less than three decades but decided that instead of throwing the old organ away, to donate it. The church in Koper, the seat of the Koper Diocese, learned about the donation and applied for it. The Koper Cathedral is thought of as the perfect to take in what will be the biggest church organ in Slovenia, as it is one of the biggest churches. The church is now preparing space for the new organ, which is expected to be played for the first time in 2020.
