One of the world's biggest entertainment spectacles gets underway tonight as the 63rd Eurovision Song Contest takes place in Lisbon at 9 p.m.

26 countries are taking part this year but a number of big names will be missing from the line-up, including Russia and Azerbaijan.

Among the favourites are Cyprus, Israel, France and 7-time winners Ireland.

Slovenia will be represented by Lea Sirk, who is no stranger to the competition, having previously been a backing singer for Tinakar Kovač in 2014.

Her song "Hvala, ne!" or "No thanks!" was one of the winners of the second semi-final on Thursday and will be the third act on stage.

She said that she and her team would be fighting for Slovenia and she hopes that people will remember her song and eye-catching performance.

Best of luck to her!
