Od leta 2015 do leta 2018 je v EU prejelo mednarodno zaščito skoraj dva milijona ljudi. V zakonodaji EU je jasno navedeno, da so države članice EU dolžne zaščititi begunce. V ta namen so na voljo tudi sredstva EU za podporo pri njihovem vključevanju. Vendar so razmere na terenu po državah članicah zelo različne. Te težave se še povečajo, ko mladi begunci dopolnijo 18 let, saj podporne mreže, na katere so se lahko pred tem zanašali, včasih izginejo čez noč. Preverili smo, kaj se zgodi z mladoletnimi otroci, ki prebežijo v Slovenijo, kakšna pomoč in kakšna prihodnost jih pričakuje?

Od leta 2015 do leta 2018 je v EU prejelo mednarodno zaščito skoraj dva milijona ljudi. V zakonodaji EU je jasno navedeno, da so države članice EU dolžne zaščititi begunce. V ta namen so na voljo tudi sredstva EU za podporo pri njihovem vključevanju. Vendar so razmere na terenu po državah članicah zelo različne. Te težave se še povečajo, ko mladi begunci dopolnijo 18 let, saj podporne mreže, na katere so se lahko pred tem zanašali, včasih izginejo čez noč. Preverili smo, kaj se zgodi z mladoletnimi otroci, ki prebežijo v Slovenijo, kakšna pomoč in kakšna prihodnost jih pričakuje?
EU komisija je ta teden predstavila zakonodajni predlog za omejitev krčenja gozdov. Slednji naj bi zagotovil, da proizvodi, ki se uporabljajo na trgu EU, ne prispevajo h krčenju in degradaciji gozdov tudi drugod po svetu. EU komisar za okolje je uredbo označil za najambicioznejši zakonodajni poskus za reševanje tega vprašanja na svetovni ravni doslej. Več o tem smo povedali v Oddaji EURANET PLUS (20.nov 2021).

Mnogi menijo, da bi kolesarjenje lahko bilo del rešitve podnebne nevtralnosti EU. Že konec prihodnjega poletja bi tako lahko dnevni migranti v službo ali šolo lahko ob lepših dneh na povezavi Kamnik – Mengeš – Trzin – Ljubljana namesto jeklenega konjička koristili kolo.
