The Covid-19 epidemic is today after 80 days officially coming to an end in Slovenia. The epidemic that started on the 12th of March and closed all schools and daycares, and completely stopped all public life, recorded 108 deaths and over 1500 infected. Though the epidemic is officially over the director of the National Institute of public health Milan Krek warns that the danger is still not over and that physical symptoms of the virus should not be ignored. Krek also said that if infections would begin rising in certain areas or towns, only those will be locked down again. Even though the epidemic is officially over measures like social distancing, wearing masks indoors and regular hand disinfecting still have to be respected. Meanwhile, the ministry of health is preparing measures for a possible second wave.
