The government has put forward a motion to give police powers to the military.
The government says the army is »badly needed« to help patrol Slovenia's border with Croatia.
The proposal is to be discussed by parliament tomorrow and will need the support of two-thirds of MPs to be passed.
Thursday may also see parliament working on the government mega-package of stimulus measures worth EUR 3 billion to help companies and individuals cope with the coronavirus epidemic.
