Marijuana is illegal in many European countries but decriminalized.

Nejc Pavlič Damjan says the government approved the medical use of cannabis in some cases two years ago but has failed to implement this.

Canada recently became the first western country to legalize the recreational use of marijuana. So far no European country has done so.
