THE VILENICA CAVE
There have been more than twelve thousand underground caves discovered in Slovenia so far, and speleologists keep on discovering them – around one hundred every year. Amongst them, Vilenica holds a special place. It is the oldest tourist cave in Europe, visited since the mid-seventeenth century. It has been long perceived as the most beautiful, largest and most visited cave in the Classical Karst.
THE MASHUKOVS
Nikolai Mashukov and Masha Bersan Mashuk are two Russian artists who came to Slovenia more than two decades ago. As fate would have it, they settled and sprouted new roots here. Now, their creations enrich Slovenian art, including numerous sacral buildings.
BATS
There are more than one thousand different bat species in the world. These unusual nocturnal animals arouse both our imagination and fear. Europe is home to the genus Pipistrellus, with at least 32 different species. No less than 30 of them have been found in Slovenia so far, and they are all protected.
DESIGNERS
Jožica Curk and Mateja Panter are both architects with a knack for design. Their designs, which are based on modern principles, and created with new materials and technologies, incorporate tradition as well.
WOOL FELTERS
Wool felting is the oldest known technique of fabric making, with a very long tradition in Slovenia, too. Albeit this activity almost fell into oblivion, interest for felt products is on the increase in recent times.  Anja Musek and Petra Vengar's creations prove that a contemporary item can be made also by using an ancient technique.
