THE PLETERJE ŠTIMANCE
Štimance, acoustic vases or acoustic catalysts, are known in many places in Europe, but in the old monastery church of Pleterje, the experience of singing and listening to music is truly outstanding. Janez Jocif, who has been studying medieval music for years and also makes musical instruments from the medieval times, tries to unveil the secrets of medieval masters of building.
THE PODBREŠKA POTICA
Potica is the greatest culinary specialty of Slovenia. No table set for any celebration should be without one. Due to a variety of different fillings we now know more than 100 types of potica, but the most popular is the walnut potica. Not long ago they started to make a potica filled with dried apples and pears in Podbrezje in the Gorenjska region. The original recipe dates back to the beginning of the previous century.
