1,714,476 eligible voters are choosing between 1,134 candidates, who are competing for 90 seats in the parliament. 3142 regular polling stations and 55 OMNIA polling stations (where voters outside their place of residence can vote) will be open until 7PM tonight. The vote will also take place in 32 diplomatic and consular offices where the polls will be open between 9AM and 5PM local time. Until the polling stations close, election silence is in force.

A record 66 thousand voters already cast their vote early due to the summer holidays. 17 lists of candidates, 15 of which are candidates in all eight constituencies, will be competing for the seats in parliament. In these elections, Slovenia will also elect the members of Parliament for the Italian and Hungarian ethnic minorities.

The first results of the exit polls will be announced at 7PM tonight. These will be the first accurate results ahead of the data of the National Electoral Commission.
