The director of the festival, Darko Brlek, is optimistic. He said the Ljubljana festival does not organize events just for 'gray heads', as they also have a young audience. Brlek claims, this is the best guarantee that the Ljubljana Festival still has a lot of events ahead of it. The festival has this year also summed up the courage to reduce the prices of tickets.

This is the 62. summer festival - Ljubljana Festival in a row. The festival brings renowned names of the somewhat less pop-culturally coloured music and stage art to the capital each year.

Most events will be held at Križanke. A novelty at this year’s festival is the second stage, the Kongresni trg square. With the introduction of a new location, the Ljubljana Festival is striving to enable the largest possible audience to see world-class performances.

The purchase of tickets at the price of five and nine euros is possible on the day of the event, for children up to 14 years of age, the entry for the standing spots is free of charge. The 80% discount for successful students that had been offered by the festival last year remains an option for students this year as well. According to organizers, the discount is also increasingly used by students from neighbouring countries.
