Fourcade beat all of his opponents with almost half a minute difference between him and second placed Czech biathlete Ondrej Moravec. Jakov Fak finished in excellent third place with just a 0,4s time difference between him and Moravec.

Klemen Bauer was also very fast on the track, but missed twice at both shooting ranges and finished in 26^th place. If his performance were flawless, he would have also been in the running for the top spots. Lenart Oblak finished in 88^th place.
