ACER informs that its Administrative board is responsible for adopting the agency's work program and budget, as well as fulfilling its mission.

After being appointed to the position on Thursday, the 50-year-old nuclear physicist Romana Jordan said "it is an honour to chair the Administrative board of such an important European agency. ACER will be a key player in implementing Europe's climate and energy policies."
The Chair of the Administrative board is a position and not a permanent job. Jordan will not become a European official with an accompanying salary. The position envisages salary-free work with covered travel expenses. The former MEP will therefore not be entitled to a high-position European Agency salary (basic gross earnings between 13 and 17 thousand euros) as we first wrongly informed.

The entire agency cost the European Union 9,3 million euros in 2014, ending up with a surplus of 580.000 euros. ACER is the only European agency with its headquarters in Slovenia. It is located in the tower building at the Trg republike (Republic Square) in Ljubljana, opposite the Slovenian parliament.
