On 1 June, Slovenian national carrier Adria Airways is going to start operating flights to Southend, London’s newest airport, flying three times a week.

The fares are scheduled to go on sale on 30 March, with prices starting at EUR 69 (incl. taxes).

At the press conference organized by Airport Edvard Rusjan Maribor, Adria Airways CEO Mark Anžur explained the flights would operate on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings. He also pointed out the importance of the new airport route for the city of Maribor.

“Our passengers will be able to get very affordable one-way and return fares,” said Anžur, adding the company expects to draw passengers from Maribor, Graz, Ljubljana, Zagreb and of course London.
