The Confederation of Free Trade Unions of Slovenia accused Prime Minister Alenka Bratušek of lying. Bratuškova claimed that she received assurances in a meeting with Medja that NLB would not finance the acquisition of the largest Slovenian grocer and that there is a contractual commitment that the number of employees will not be further reduced. According to the association, new information shows that is not so. Medja also denied Bratušek’s statements in writing.

Bratušek on the other hand insist on her claims. Again, she claimed that representatives of the Slovenian national holding company and the NLB, at Tuesday’s meeting just before the sale ensured her that the number of employees will not be further decreased.
