Today's a car-free day in many EU cities including in 32 Slovenian municipalities. Many city streets will be closed for traffic. Buses in some place will drive free of charge. Coinciding with the day, changes in the traffic regime in downtown Ljubljana also come into force. From today on Slovenska Street in central Ljubljana will be open only for pedestrians and buses. According to city plans, the street will close for all other motorozed vehicles, creating a longer extension of the existing pedestrian zone.
