The WBOC project has, according to the assistant director of the Criminal Police Directorate at the General Police Directorate Boštjan Lindav, only in Slovenia brought about confiscation of one kilogram of heroin, 8.5 kilograms of cocaine, and 16.6 kilograms of hemp.

In total, up till now 30 pieces of weapons, 1.1 ton of heroin, 165 kilograms of cocaine, one ton of hemp, 80,000 cigarettes, and 16.2 tons of anhydride acetic acid used in production of heroin have been confiscated during international criminal investigation within the project, Lindav explained.

The Thursday police action in Slovenia was performed by the National Bureau of Investigation (NPU) and the criminal investigators of the Ljubljana Police Directorate, two years after the beginning of the investigation. NPU in this instance cooperated also with the American Drug Enforcement Administration DEA, while during the investigation they mainly cooperated with Greek, Spanish, Croatian and Austrian colleagues.

From Greece to South America
The criminal group was, as the Police found out, well organized, and hierarchical. They smuggled cocaine from South America to Europe, and heroin from Greece to Slovenia and then also to other West European countries. The criminal group destroyed by criminal investigators from Ljubljana also transported cocaine from Soutn America to Slovenia, and heroin through the so-called Balkan road. Three of its members were also connected with the murder of Zorica Škrbić, the late partner of one of the persons convicted for the SKB robbery, motivated by their wish to appropriate the loot from that robbery.

NPU kept a close eye on the criminal group consisting of citizens from a number of different countries; the Slovenes according to the director of NPU Darko Majhenič NPU had relatively important roles in the group. They supervised the transport, provided vessels and money, and were in charge of transmission of information.
