Under the new law, it will be possible to organize public cycling and motorcycling events in natural areas – a practice previously prohibited. The amendment would also allow police to impound motor vehicles in certain cases.

However, the amendment has stirred up some controversy – some of the fines for cyclists who break the rules are higher than those for motorcyclists. Motorcyclists face fines ranging from €40 to €100, while cyclists would be slapped with a set fine of €100.
